Both the fins and the base are cut from a single piece of metal by repeatedly cutting the top of the strip and folding it back onto the base.Skived heat sink can be made with thin fins and high density geometry while benefiting from the thermal conductivity of a uniform piece of metal.
Skived heatsink are more precise, have excellent thermal solutions, and can be used to produce dense fin diffusion. skived heat sink also require minimal tooling costs, which is a better option for you if cost reduction is a concern.
