Custom Extruded Heat Sink Introduction
Extrusion is the most cost-effective manufacturing method in the production of plate and cross-cut heat sinks. In all mass production processes, the mold and unit prices are the lowest. The material used for extrusion AL6063 has excellent mechanical properties and surface appearance. The thermal conductivity of AL6063 is slightly lower than pure aluminum (used for cold forging), but much higher than the alloy used for die casting.
Custom Extruded Heat Sink process:
1. Extruded single pieces
2. Press fit single pieces
3. CNC machining the top and base to achieve desirable flatness
4. Drill hole
5. Surface treatment - degrease
6. Inspection, pack and ship.
