Heat Sink for Projector To Heat Dissipation Method

Date:2021-06-25

In the hot summer, many users have installed heat sinks for projectors. So, what measures should be taken for the projector heat sink, to let the projector effectively dissipate heat?

The location and degree of damage to the projector from heat from different sources are different. The large amount of heat emitted by the projector’s imaging system will cause the projector’s internal temperature to rise rapidly, and the quartz on the inner wall of the projector’s bulb will devitrify at high temperatures, resulting in white spots. The devitrification of the light will block the light. The temperature in this local area rises abnormally, which causes the devitrification area to be further expanded, which causes the brightness to decay rapidly, and it is likely to cause the bulb to explode. In addition, the physical nature of the chip board inside the projector determines that its working temperature is not allowed to be too high. Once the temperature of other optical components exceeds its tolerance range, it will also cause damage to the optical components. The heat emitted from the power supply of the projector will cause the temperature of the power supply to be too high, which will cause the electrolytic capacitor of the internal power supply of the projector to dry up, which will cause the power switch tube of the projector to burn out.

Faced with the above-mentioned dangers, if we do not take measures to quickly remove the heat in the projector, it may damage the electrical components inside the projector. At present, many projectors on the market use the method of installing a fan set inside the projector. Under the action of the heat sink with fan, the inside will be in a state of thermal equilibrium; of course, this equilibrium state is related to the environment in which the projector is used. Temperature is also related. If the temperature of the environment where the projector is used exceeds a certain limit, the temperature of important parts inside the projector will also exceed its rated standard.

Therefore, when the ambient temperature has reached the critical temperature, in order to ensure that the projector can be used normally in various environments. We recommend that users install a temperature sensor inside the projector and use it to instantly monitor the air inside the projector. The temperature changes, and this temperature change signal is fed back to the special circuit inside the projector for processing. When the projector detects that the temperature change has reached the critical point of working in this area, the internal protection program of the projector will automatically run and start to automatically cut off the power of the projector, so as to prevent the projector from being damaged when it continues to work under high temperature conditions.
